How to Use Informed Vital Core
Follow these eight steps to take an accurate, reliable vital sign measurement.
- 1
Ensure good lighting
Find a well-lit space with even lighting — no shadows or bright spots on your face.
- 2
Stabilize your device
Place your device in a stand or prop it up on a stable surface to keep it still during measurement.
- 3
Don’t blend in
Avoid wearing clothing that matches your background — for example, a white shirt against a white wall.
- 4
Remove makeup and sunscreen
Your forehead, cheeks, and chin must be free of makeup or sunscreen.
- 5
Fully reveal face, neck, and shoulders
Pull back hair, and remove hats or accessories blocking your face, neck, or shoulders. Corrected glasses are allowed.
- 6
Keep still
Stay still during vital measurements. Do not talk or move your head while your vitals are measured.
- 7
Get ready
Relax and sit comfortably with your legs uncrossed, feet on the floor, and back pressed lightly against the chair.
